On September 20th, 2024, Bios+ had the pleasure of hosting the Swiss national swimming team during their training camp at the National Youth Sports Centre of Tenero. Among the athletes was Noè Ponti, Olympic medal-winning athlete from Ticino and ambassador of Corsa della Speranza, as well as a strong supporter of the Ticino Cancer Research Foundation.
The event included a presentation by Prof. Franco Cavalli, President of Bios+ highlighting the cutting-edge research conducted at Bios+. Afterwards, the team, including athletes and staff, had the opportunity to visit the laboratories of the Institute of Oncology Research (IOR) and the Institute for Research in Biomedicine (IRB), as well as their innovative facilities. During the visit, they had the chance to connect directly with the researchers and learn about their daily efforts and ongoing work in the fight against cancer.
Bios+ is honored to have welcomed such an inspiring group of athletes, with Noè Ponti at the forefront. The event marks another step in strengthening the bond between sport and science for a healthier future.
